The Campaign “Stepping Out for Stroke (SOFS) 2022” is SNSA’s annual signature walkathon event. We embark on this walkathon to encourage our stroke survivors to join other stroke survivors to lead a more active lifestyle. This event is also open to the public as well, as we hope to have more people in the public to join us to encourage our cheer on for our stroke survivors.
The funds raised will be used to defray the operating cost and fund the programme expenditure of SNSA as we do not charge our participants. We wish we could extend our service to any stroke survivors or caregivers that needs our help. We encourage and welcome donors who believe in our cause to join us and donate, so that we can continue to provide help to those in need in the local stroke community.
SNSA will issue tax deductible receipts (TDRs) for donations of $10 and above.
Singapore National Stroke Association (SNSA) is Singapore’s national support group for stroke survivors and caregivers, formed and run by the very people we serve — stroke survivors and caregivers, with guidance from doctors and other experienced healthcare professionals. Registered under the Societies Act in December 1996, SNSA was granted Charity Status in November 1998. SNSA is also a member of the National Council of Social Service since March 1999.
SNSA provides help, support and information to stroke survivors and caregivers. In addition, we seek to raise awareness of stroke prevention and management.
Our Mission is to support stroke survivors and caregivers in Singapore, to educate on stroke symptom recognition and stroke prevention and to advocate for the rights of the stroke community.
