NASAM has been serving the stroke community in Malaysia for 25 years and in this issue, as we continue to move forward, we have compiled some heartwarming stories. These stories reflect why we want to continue supporting the stroke community and helping families begin a new journey.
Generally, stroke is associated with the ageing population. For a longtime we have been under the impression that only grandparents can be crippled by a stroke. The truth is stroke can strike anyone at any age without warning. Reports show that a stroke can affect one-out-of-every four of us.
